2012-12-20 (End of life notice)

Due to lack of time and recently very little interest from users development of the PSR Registration Shuffler has ended. Therefor version 0.4.1 is the last supported version.

2011-10-10 (Version 0.4.1 contains missing msvcr71.dll)

The PSR Registration Shuffler needs the msvcr71.dll in order to run. On previous version it was assumed that this file is available in c:\windows\system32 which doesn't always seem to be the case. Therefor I made a new release 0.4.1 which contains the missing file. If version 0.4 works for you, you don't need to upgrade. Additionally the file can be downloaded from the download page.

2011-10-09 (Version 0.4 supports Yamaha Tyros 4)

For some reason no new version has been released since early 2009. Not much has changed since then, but support for the new Tyros 4 has already been added half a year ago. For this reason the last release of the old 0.x branch is version 0.4. The next release will be version 1.0 which will be a complete rewrite.

2011-09-27 (Work on the next version began)

As it has been quite while since the last version came out, today work has begun on the next program version. This version will be rewritten from scratch in order to provide a better user-experience and in order to update some of the underlying libraries, upon which the program is built (Python 2.7, GTK+ 3.x). Many features will be improved and support for the Yamaha PSR-9000 / 9000pro arrangers will be added.

2010-06-03 (Site goes online again)

After being offline for a while the site goes online again. Unfortunately when I performed the last OS update on the host machine I didn't notice that the default behavior of modphp5 has changed to not allow execution of php scripts from within home directories anymore. Today I finally noticed and immediately fixed the broken configuration. It's a pity though that the default behavior of apache2 configuration seems to change with every release.

2009-04-02 (Version 0.3.2 with Windows installer)

After half a year now it's time for another release of the PSR Registration Shuffler. While this release doesn't bring any new features it now comes with a comfortable Windows installer. So users of the Windows distribution don't need no additional installations (like the GTK+ Runtime Environment) anymore. The distribution comes with all needed binaries included and can easily be installed and uninstalled.

No news for Unix and Mac OS X users. Be patient, guys.

2008-11-04 (Support for Yamaha Tyros 3)

Thanks to Michael P. Bedessom and Kim Winther the PSR Registration Shuffler now is able to access registration banks from the brand new Yamaha Tyros 3. Thank you guys.

2008-10-07 (Version 0.3 finally there)

Many personal events made me refrain from programing and so the long awaited version 0.3 is long overdue. But now the long delay finally pays off because the new releases contains many more features and many more bug fixes than initially planed. The enhanced version 0.3 comes with the following extras:

New supported instrument: Yamaha S700; Unsplittable groups of registrations for the batch processor; A new quick edit tab page, A new print/export setlist tab page; A user-friendly window which informs the user of otherwise unnoticed errors; Translations now working in Windows, too (fixed bug); Fixed bug of umlauts and special characters in registration names; Updated German translation; A more convenient Windows package which contains an EXE file to start the program (no more command line in background); Some example files for test-driving the program. Oh and the website has been updated, too.

As always, this is the best release ever and if you're already shuffling, you're kindly asked to upgrade. I'm sure you won't regret. This release will be the foundation for an extensive user-guide which I'm about to write due to popular demand.

2008-08-21 (New program version 0.2)

Simplified the website layout and removed the wiki toolbox. The page should be much easier to navigate and understand now. :) As of today version 0.2 sees the light of day. Compared to it's predecessor it sports a whole lot of new features: Italian language support (Thanks Claudio Bizzarri); Support for five keyboard models (Yamaha PSR-2000, Yamaha PSR-3000, Yamaha PSR-S900, Yamaha Tyros 1, Yamaha Tyros 2); A much improved user interface; or Batch creation of bank files.

Thank you to all those persons who provided test data of their instruments.

2008-08-09 (Windows package available)

Due to the high demand there is now a ready-to-run Windows package available. It contains all files needed to run PSR Registration Shuffler except the GTK+ Runtime Environment which needs to be installed only one time separately.

UPDATE: Added missing python25.dll to the Windows package. Existing users can download it from here.

2008-08-08 (Initial program release)

Today the first release of PSR Registration Shuffler saw the light of the day. So this was also when this website went live. It's a great moment and I hope the program will be helpful to as many music-loving people as possible. But for this to come true I need help. Please have a look at Help Wanted! go see what needs to be done.
